Skano – a modern standard for hospitality
Skano

The Challenge
Every change to a paper menu comes with a cost. A new supplier price, a seasonal dish, a sold-out item – each one means reprinting, and until the new run arrives, the menu on the table is simply wrong.
A printed menu also gathers no data: it cannot tell you which dishes guests look at most often. In a country where tourists make up a large share of visitors, a menu in a single language quietly loses orders.
One principle shaped the whole product: a QR code, once placed on the table, should never have to change again, while the content behind it should be something the restaurant's own team can edit from a browser, with no developer involved.
The Solution
Skano is more than a digital menu. The owner manages it straight from the browser – categories, dishes, photos and prices update instantly behind the same, unchanged QR code.
For the guest, the experience is as simple as it gets: point a camera and the menu opens right in the browser, with no app to download, no sign-up and no personal data to hand over. Multilingual support lets a guest switch language with one tap and read the menu in whichever one they prefer.
The platform carries every tool the job needs: a branded QR studio, an editor for design and fonts, labelling for the EU's 14 allergens, and a way to call a waiter or ask for the bill. It also offers view analytics and CSV export. The Starter plan is free forever, so a cafe can go through the full cycle before its first payment.
